i'm such a sucker for good design, graphics, + typography... i know in another life i would have been a graphic designer... i just love looking at pretty things! one of the things i most unexpectedly enjoyed at alt summit was all of the business card trading you do with everyone you meet... i've never seen (+ felt) so much beautiful letterpressed goodness in one place... it really reiterated to me the power of good design, the value of good card stock, + that a good card can be the first impression for someone of your business... so it better be a good one! here's a few of my faves collected below... katherine from snippet + ink had one of my faves... + my newest LA friend, the cuisinerd had the raddest food photography + type pairing ever!how adorable is this for a husband + wife company? this is both sides of one card... the party pass + the loveliest ever kinfolk magazine (proof that sometimes simplest is best)stetson+thompson is a favorite designer of mine... i was so happy to meet her in person! gather + hunt doubles her cards as tags... or coasters... love it!i'm one of many that's done blog posts about the business cards of alt. Style + Grace, savvy in san francisco, the ace deptartment, + camille styles all have similar posts if you feel like seeing more über creative cards... lastly, i've got to give a shout out to hum creative who did my amazing branding + identity. she's so crazy talented + i just adore the results... i got so many compliments on my own cards at alt summit mostly due to her design + the lovely lovely letterpress work of lynn at satsuma press (who incidentally also gave me her ticket to the conference... to which i'm eternally indebted.) here's the beautiful collaboration of their work on my behalf.
i've also got to lastly give a little shout out to salt + pine, who's cards were actually hands down my favorite + i didn't even get to snag one. they were wooden + amazing! xo, brooke
