in the arena of american culture, the south has it's own planetary system. it's truly a world of it's own + there's no place like it. my mom's from tennesee, so we've been going back there for visits as long as i can remember. the more i've fallen in love with photography over the years, the more i've become interested in documenting places like the south. i was there recently for a short trip, + didn't have nearly the time i would've liked to poke around taking photos... but did manage a few snaps one afternoon. the signage in particular i kind of love. oh, + the food. i love me some southern cooking. bbq, collard greens, chicken fried steak, biscuits + gravy... you name it. have you ever had fried pickles with ranch? only in the south, but damn... those things are good. + going out on the town hitting up small divey bars on any given friday is a pretty good time too... i still want to visit a whiskey factory to take a tour, but that'll be on my next trip i guess.... here's cleveland, tennesee!
